Peer-Daniel is a housing planner, researcher and facilitator working to support communities and non-profit organizations make better decisions and create sustainable change through research, process design and strategic stakeholder engagement. He brings over eight years of experience in the areas of non-profit real estate development, housing policy and homelessness. He most recently worked as Policy Manager for the BC Non-Profit Housing Association. Building on his past experience working with non-profits, and with the help of the multi-skilled Urban team, he is excited to broaden his scope of work into real estate development consulting and complex housing policy work over the next few years.
Peer-Daniel came to beautiful BC in 2012 to complete a Masters in Planning degree from the University of British Columbia. While he planned to return to the Middle East where he had previously lived, worked and travelled to from his native Germany for many years – the mountains, the people, his partner and many lovely personal and professional connections grounded him in Vancouver – which no longer made leaving an option! Today he spends as much time as he can with friends scrambling in the mountains and around beach bonfires.
