Jen Casorso

Jen Casorso has been catalyzing social change over 15 years. As lead consultant for Social Health and Well-Being at Urban Matters, she advocates for evidence-based decision making and culturally appropriate methods of citizen engagement. Understanding that social change occurs when people and groups of all roles, industries, backgrounds and lived experiences come together, she uses her expertise in facilitation to create spaces for inclusive dialogue and bridge diverging priorities with the goal of developing truly community-driven solutions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Geography, a master’s in Community Development and came to Urban Matters as a Social and Community Development Planner from the City of Kamloops. Jen has proud Métis roots from northern Manitoba as well as Italian and Western European heritage. She gratefully resides in Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc territory within the unceded traditional lands of the Secwepemcúl’ecw.
